The Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) has officially approved the updated toll rates for the NLEX Connector, effective October 15, 2024. This toll adjustment is part of a staggered collection approach to minimize the impact on expressway users. The initial rates were first implemented in 2023, four months after the Caloocan to España Section opened in March. With the opening of Section 2, from España to Magsaysay Boulevard in October 2023, NLEX Connector maintained its original discounted rate, giving motorists a longer toll-free stretch for nearly a year.

Under the new toll matrix, motorists using Class 1 vehicles (regular cars and SUVs) will be charged ?119, while Class 2 (buses and small trucks) and Class 3 vehicles (large trucks) will be charged ?299 and ?418, respectively. The full rates will be implemented once the entire NLEX Connector Project is completed.
The NLEX Connector has greatly improved travel between the north and Manila, reducing travel time between C3 in Caloocan and Magsaysay Boulevard to just seven minutes. This all-elevated expressway has become a vital route for vehicles of all classes and has significantly boosted job and business opportunities along its path by improving access to and from the north.
A major beneficiary of the NLEX Connector has been the trucking and logistics sector, as the expressway offers a 24/7, truck-ban-free route, enhancing travel convenience and cargo movement. It has also made commuting for students from the north to Metro Manila’s University Belt quicker and easier.
Additionally, the NLEX Connector is the first expressway in the Philippines to implement a barrierless system with 100% RFID use, ensuring faster and smoother toll transactions.
With the continued development of the NLEX Connector, motorists and businesses alike can expect more seamless and efficient journeys across Metro Manila and beyond.
